Registration & Fees

Hugh Carpenter’s Camp Napa and Camp San Miguel Culinary classes are created for the independent traveler wanting to combine a cooking vacation with plenty of free time to pursue their own interests while in Napa Valley or in San Miguel, Mexico. Features include lunches, receptions and dinners, as listed in the class itineraries. Airfare, hotel accommodations, car rental and other items not described are not included.

Call or e-mail us today to find out more about enjoying a fabulous week of hands-on cooking and wine tasting and all the other exciting activities that you can get only at a cooking school hosted by cookbook author and chef extraordinaire Hugh Carpenter. Classes are limited to 16 to 20 people. Camp Napa tour price per tour member: $2,100. Camp San Miguel tour price per tour member: $1,920.

Payment

To reserve a place for either program, please send a check (no credit cards, please) made payable to Camp Napa Culinary, in the amount of $500 per person. This deposit is refundable, minus a $50 administrative fee per person, until 90 days prior to the beginning of the session, at which time the balance is due. If cancellation occurs less than 90 days before the beginning of the session, a refund will be made only if that space can be filled. We strongly urge you to purchase trip cancellation insurance, and we can provide you with this information. Attendees are required to sign a liability release.

Transportation and Accommodations

Napa Valley is 50 miles northeast of San Francisco. The closest airports are Sacramento and Oakland. We recommend you rent a car at the airport. We will provide maps and directions, as well as information on a wide range of accommodations in the area.

San Miguel de Allende is in central Mexico, approximately a 3-hour drive north of Mexico City. We recommend that you fly into the city of Leon, which is a 90-minute drive to San Miguel. We will provide you with additional travel and hotel information.
